Upstream is a higher floodplain terrace with hemlock and tulip poplar over Rhododendron.;Small intermittent island with a small backchannel along a steep cliff. Plot is on lower floodplain between backchannel and the main river. There are five rings and old firewood piles on the terrace but vegetation does not appear recently trampled. Fluvial topography with small levees turning at an oblique angle to the creek, due to deposition at the tail of the island.
